ASA Activities
ASA Topic Committees (TCs)
Committee members receive special recognition badges, symbolising leadership and engagement
Topic Committees (TCs) are the strategic hubs of ASA. They meet quarterly to:
- Set priorities and monitor progress on key topics
- Initiate or oversee Working Groups (WGs) and Task Forces (TFs)
- Align activities with ASA KPIs and broader EU agendas
Each ASA member can nominate representatives to participate in one or more TCs.

ASA
Working Groups (WGs) & Task Forces (TFs)
Working Groups
are continuous cooperation platforms focused on a topic or function.
Task Forces
are time-limited groups with clear deliverables and deadlines.
These bodies contribute to:
- Developing training programmes and role definitions
- Producing alignment tools, methodologies, or shared outputs
- Piloting education and skills-related innovations
Regional Collaboration
Regional Implementation WG
This group brings together regional stakeholders, including authorities, VET centres, SMEs, and local clusters, to:
- Share best practices
- Collaborate on transition strategies
- Discuss funding and policy alignment
Regular meetings have been organised since 2022 with active participation from over 12 regions.
ASA recognises that regions play a central role in delivering the green and digital transition in mobility.
Workshops: Regional Projects & Best Practice Exchange
ASA actively supports workshops and pilot activities to foster the creation or expansion of regional-level skills initiatives.
Highlights
Pilot projects under the Just Transition Fund (JTF) in:
- Moravian-Silesian Region (Czechia)
- Stuttgart Region (Germany)
- Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (France)
Regional Workshops
- Aim to translate ASA intelligence into practice
- Facilitate peer learning across EU regions
- Encourage co-development of fundable projects
EWRC Workshops in Brussels
Organised by ASA-affiliated regions in 2022, 2023, and 2024, 2026 as part of the European Week of Regions and Cities (EWRC).
Focus
- Enabling green transition through regional collaboration
- Highlighting the role of regions in ecosystem transformation
- Showcasing best practices and policy alignment at the regional level
These workshops help regions scale successful models, access EU funding, and ensure territorial cohesion during the twin transition.
